5/15/08 Great ‘Austin Bridal Secrets’ interview with lots of Angelic Strings bio information. Listen to the interview at the site.

Michael received his Ph.D. in Physics from Oklahoma State University in 1995. After additional academic research, he worked at Motorola for 2 and half years. Leaving the electronics workforce to become a full-time musician, he has performed throughout Central Texas at weddings, benefits, children's musicals, church services, retirement homes, schools, hospitals, hospices and wherever the Spirit moves him to be of service. He is a multi-instrumentalist, a composer, a sound engineer, a vocalist, and loves learning new instruments and new languages. Michael has played harp for ~14 years. Michael loves to be of service through music, and will perform as Angelic Strings at more than 70 weddings again in 2008. Currently Michael’s hobbies include writing music with Sibelius 4, and learning Spanish (Yo hablo un poco espanol) to help us be of service. Also on Michael’s list of hobbies is maintenance of this website.

Belinda loves the art of music and has been studying viola since 1997. Involved with The Austin Chamber Music Center from 1999-2003 learning and performing Chamber/classical music for quartets. She's an elder at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church where she has been a long time choir member in worship and Taize services. It was at a Taize service in 2001 that  Michael (a guest musician) and Belinda reconnected. They had met briefly in the summer of 2000. Reunited in music, they continued to meet performing together at church. In 2002 they pursued music for harp and viola and met often with other musicians for classical and fun jams. Married in April 2003, they formed the duo "Angelic Strings" and have been blessed in finding ways of being of service together through their music. Michael has composed and transposed many compositions to the alto clef for viola. Belinda has experienced how music can affect lives in a profound way. She aspires to share the love of music, devoted to creating peace, harmony, and joy in the lives they touch. Thus their motto, "Hearts to Service".
